A PROFILE PAGE FOR EACH BLIND CYCLIST

Phil Johnston can create a personal profile page, similar to those at BACKGROUND, for each vision impaired cyclist which provides a few photos and, amongst other things, explains -

(a)        their level of sight impairment;

(b)        how they became blind; and

(c)        how they scratch enough bucks together to meet living expenses and satisfy their social interests.

Blind people are comfortable to talk about such issues.  Blindness can occur from 'inter alia' a virus passed down from a parent, sever trauma or cancer.  Most blind people, not surprisingly, are low socio-economic, so 3rd party donations towards the cost of each tandem would be up to 80% for blind people who are not flushed with funds.
