Day 7 - Les Deux Alpes  -  39km due to visiting Le Chambon on return leg down Le Montagne

Starting from Bourg dOisans (716 m el.), ride 17.78km SE to the ski resort at the apex of Les Deux Alpes (1665m el.) ascending 949 vertical meters at ave. 5.3%, where there is only one route down.  Hence, retrace down Les Deux Alpes via Le Chambon (13km East of Le Bourg d'Oisan).

The climb begins at Les Clapiers which are accessed from the N91.  Immediately steep.  After the first tunnel, view the Gorges de l'Infernet.  After five kilometre, it suddenly descends to Le Freney-d'Oisans, thence ascending, but not too hard to the Lac du Chambon from where you can also reach the Alpe d'Huez.  At Lac du Chambon the climb becomes more difficult, except for a flat piece at Mont-de-Lans. The last five kilometres average 8%.
