Phil, NOTE :- The tandum
cycist in the image “Torressa on Tandem.jpg” is Blind Cyclist Lindy Hue
with Torressa Gallagher as a pilot climbing Mount Panorama last
year. Thanks heaps for your
interest in a Blayney to Bathurst Cyclo Sportif Challenge. This is a new concept
event now in its third year which is trying to bring cyclists of all codes
together in a single event. We have modeled this
event on the highly successful Lake Taupo Challenge New which I attended in
2006. This event gives away a total of about $300,000 in lucky draws YES that’s
right!! $300,000. If we can come even
marginally close to that over the next 5 years we will have achieved our
objective. I have attached an
entry form and info doc on the event which I hope provides some insight into
what we are trying to achieve. I will send several
emails back with each of the attachments just in case you are having
difficulties with the file sizes. If you can include this
information on your website that would be fantastic and unexpected
assistance I appreciate your
suggestions and opinions and have responded to each under your comments in the
email below. I will also forward
hard copies of the entry forms along with some district touring maps complements
of our sponsors NSW Department of Lands. B2B Project Develoment

Johnston [mailto:scribeph@bigpond.com] Garry Above is a url to very scant
information on your w’end. I welcome receiving any info that I can include to
entice www.Muggaccinos.com cyclists to drive 200km
to shell out $25 to do the famous Climb on Sat
arvo. If you want to maximise participant interest, I recommend that you include a 60km
tour ride on Sunday morning to see the sites in time to return to watch the
finish of the two races. I
appreciate your suggestion; in fact we had originally planned to include a
“Family Challenge” which would do just what you are saying. But unfortunately
our volunteers who were to organize and conduct that particular event are double
booked as there is a regional BMX carnival on the same weekend opposite the
Peace Park on the river. They are expecting over 400 participants and have no
resources to spare. Bathurst
Daybreak Rotary, Nether
the less your suggestion is right on the money and we plan to include a family
challenge for 2008. If you want girls friends of races
to come along, such a tour ride may get a few more. I
won’t
be successful
in enticing
Muggaccinos to attend unless they
enjoy that option. I can easily get a map and set out
such a route. But you might like to consider including on your
website. I can publish pages for you on my website if you can’t get a website. All you need to do is send the
URL. Since
the Department of Lands is one of our major sponsor you might be interested to
note that we will be giving away at least 20 but possibly 30 of Lands
Departments new mapping product TOPOVIEW Raster 2006 which is the entire
topographic map system of NSW on a DVD with some neat viewing software include
(Retail Value of this product is $275) These are a touring cyclists perfect
planning tool. URL FOR NSW CYCLING
ON LINE ENTRY SYSTEM IS https://bne100v.server-secure.com/vs71139_secure/nsw/login.cfm URL FOR EVENT

CALENDER I
agree with you that the NSW Cycling web site does not easily direct you to the
details on the B2B Event and I will be discussing this issue with the executive
manager Ultimately
we will be developing a stand alone web site for the B2B with URLs to the NSW
Cycling On Line Entry System and other sites. Phil Johnston
