 Longstanding recreational bicycle group Muggaccinos attracts stoic, middle aged hill climbers  who look forward to their weekly communal exercise Fix

The Writer has administered Muggaccinos.com bicycle group in Sydney for over 10 years which attracts road cyclists (from a pool of approx 80 Sydney cyclists) including a Dozen Resolute Diehards.

 

The group rides one of over 35 different +100km hilly road routes on the perimeter of Sydney each Sunday.

Muggaccinos.com has >45,000 Hits to the Home Page and thousands more to Ride Invitation pagesIt attracts stoic, determined middle aged cyclists, some in their 60s who can hammer hard on +100km rides.

Muggaccinos' 1st Commandment is "Hills are your Friends, and Mountains are your Mates!"   Prima facie, climbing steep hills on a bicycle may seem difficult.  However, with ultra light bikes and very low gears, the strain to climb a steep hill is no different than cycling fast on flat roads. 

Muggaccinos has a programme to assist blind cyclists ride tandems known as Adopt a Blind Cyclist.  The Writer has cycled with 7 blind cyclists.

+200 different Cyclists who have cycled with Muggaccinos.com, on and off, over a +10 year period are testimony that regularly achieving difficult cardiovascular sporting goals in a communal atmosphere permanently enhances self-esteem/confidence and hardens the resolve. 

Muggaccinos Cyclists, who regularly ride +100km Sunday rides, and test themselves over annual endurance events such as 150km Fitz's Challenge (Pedal Power ACT) and 200km Audax Alpine Classic (Bright Vic), come from all walks of life. 

Invariably they display above average coping mechanisms and exude self-confidence.
