15.        Marketing opportunities to promote YELP to secure >5,000 Interested Adults in NSW during the 12 months Pilot

              An "Overdose Human Produced Drugs Only" slogan would position the Core Product to Compete For Market Share "toe-to-toe" with other Recreational Drug Use, rather than tacitly implying that all drugs are a No No, when these substances are kickers and unwinders which many of us will not do without

Section 4(d) posits that fundamental to marketing YELP is to encourage Interested Adults to want to incorporate a Recreational Exercise Activity to Materially Alter Lifestyle by highlighting that -

(i)         such exercise in a District Rigorous Recreational Exercise Group within a Common Bond Support Group is lots of fun and addictive; and

(ii)        back when we were kids, many of us thrived on playing outdoors with your mates from sunup to sunset.

Section 12 notes the prospective 20 Recreational Exercise Consultants will -

(i)         be highly proficient salesmen because they believe in the product they have been selling to fellow Australians for many years; and

(ii)        rarely take the foot off the pedal because of the satisfaction they derive in evidencing others enhance their QOL through the sport the particular Recreational Exercise Consultant loves.

Whilst the 20 prospective "salesmen" are expert at making the sale once their foot is in the door, promotion/publicity of their Supervise and Refer services will be required to get that foot near the door.

(a)         Effective marketing campaigns can alter a community's priorities regarding the enviroment.

(b)        Interested Adults will find the time if they like what they try:

Leisure Time Availability will be a prime factor for Interested Adults if/when selecting one of 14 Recreational Exercise Activities to reignite Youthful Exuberance.  Swimming a kilometre or a mile at the local council swimming pool, hammering hard on a road bicycle around the local neighbourhood, or attending a 60 min Yoga or Pilates class, logically takes a lot less time than completing a 100km recreational bicycle road ride, a 15km bushwalk or Social Dancing the night away.

Prima facie, naysayers of the Youthful Exuberance Lifestyle Programme could contend that the pressures of modern life militate against most adults commencing a Recreational Exercise Activity.  However, casual empiricism of playing team and individual sports for over 30 years amongst Common Bond Support Groups testifies to the Writer that -

A.         most adults can find 4 or 5 hours of leisure time at least each alternate weekend (if not midweek) because 99% of us enjoy leisure; and

B.         if the experience in a particular Recreational Exercise Activity within a local District Recreational Exercise Group is sufficiently enjoyable, those adults will be hankering to come back.

(c)        RTV Promotion On DVD To Clinicians At Outset Of Pilot:

To attract 50 Volunteers and 5,000 Participants, merit exists in an RTV Promotion on DVD to clinicians 'et al' in NSW at the outset of the 12 months Pilot which uses the Department of Health and Ageing's Five Basic ‘Stages of Change' behavioural approach by -

(a)        profiling a handful of Participants in NSW at the outset of the 12 months Pilot, both Abled and Disabled, who have recently Materially Altered Lifestyle in the last 6 months (who the Writer and other potential Recreational Exercise Consultants know) who -

(i)         hadn't previously believed that they could commence a Rigorous Recreational Exercise Activity or if they did manage to take part, that it wouldn't demonstrably Materially Alter Lifestyle and QOL;

(ii)        found after reviewing the e-Learning Techniques on the YELP Website to learn the Training Procedures for their Rigorous Recreational Exercise Activity, to be straight forward and edifying;

(iii)       appreciated their Recreational Exercise Consultant -

             *          providing advice and tips;

             *          personally introducing them to Organisers and Participants in their District Recreational Exercise Group; and

             *          following-up their progress;

(iv)       found the YELP Website informative, logical and user friendly;

(v)        have succeeded beyond wildest expectations in conquering new, Challenging, physical environs in the great outdoors with their District Recreational Exercise Group which has hardened their resolve, improved their self-confidence and elevated aspirations/contentment which improved their Coping Skills and Cognitive Skills

(vi)       now hang-out for their regular weekend exercise 'fix', taking on even greater Challenges and their infrequent weekends away with their Common Bond Support Group which includes a Social Theme; and

(b)        profiles a few of the Dozen Resolute Diehards who have enjoyed 'inter alia' Personal Health and Fitness for many years and such fitness is inculcated into their persona,

(c)        highlights the fun and bonhomie offered by a Rigorous Recreational Exercise Activity amidst a Common Bond Support Group explained in Section 4.(d); and

(d)       sews the seed that re-igniting your Youthful Exuberance isn't beyond you as explained in Section 4.(b).

As explained in 3.VII.(c), Australia has several exemplary Disabled athletes who have overcome enormous adversity to excel in various sports.   Profiling, at the outset of the Pilot (in NSW) and also at Propagation (to the remainder of Australia), in RTV Promotions a few of 6 World Class Disabled Australian Athletes would be a compelling motivational tool to encourage -

(a)        Australians with no such Disability(ies) that there was no material impediment to commencing a Recreational Exercise Activity(ies); and

(b)        encourage many Disabled Australians to take up the offer for Abled Participant Assistants to assist them, contingent of course, upon support systems being developed and listed in the Youthful Exuberance Lifestyle Programme Website to enable Disabled to receive reliable Abled Participant Assistant support so that the Disabled can participate on an equal footing and derive the enormous psychological, behavioural and physical benefits which can motivate them to 'inter alia' higher challenges in employment with lower reliance on social welfare.

(d)       Youthful Exuberance Lifestyle Programme Website:

Feature its product range of 14 Recreational Exercise Activities set in the great outdoors, which utilises Youthful Exuberance in the company of a Common Bond Support Group, -

(i)         as personally more enjoyable and satisfying than Existing Sedentary Leisure Activities;

(ii)        where teenage siblings can relate to and join in;

(iii)       provides an opportunity for Abled Australians to assist Disabled Australians under a structured, reliable, Commoditised framework on the Youthful Exuberance Lifestyle Programme Website where noteworthy Abled Participant Assistants are recognised at the Annual Presentation Awards Dinner in each capital city; and

(iv)       better for the future inhabitants of the planet and future productivity than driving around in a gas guzzling SUV or similarly burning carbons running home air conditioning, Plasma TVs etc.

In early September this year, the Australian Government National Drugs Campaign posted to every Australia resident a maroon 20 page booklet titled "Talking with your kids about drugs".  Mindful of the information contained therein, the cost of a similar booklet which explained the scope and purpose of the Youthful Exuberance Lifestyle Programme, including providing Training Procedures for each of the 8 Rigorous Recreational Exercise Activities ie Tips for new road cyclists who want to ride with a Bicycle User Group for Recreational Road Cyclists and DVD, would be fiscal revenue better spent.

(e)        Marketing "toe-to-toe" natural drugs produced from the Core Product through "Overdose Human Produced Drugs Only" slogan:

The Core Product of the Youthful Exuberance Lifestyle Programme is 8 Rigorous Recreational Exercise Activities under a Common Bond Support Group.  A spin-off of the Core Product is the production of Endorphins and Adrenaline which are two neuro-chemical hormonal drugs which the body naturally produces from rigorous, Challenging exercise.  Researchers have discovered that Endorphins and Adrenaline are more potent than heroin, opium and morphine and provide several different Beneficial Effects of Human Produced Drugs.

The vast majority of Australians consume one or more Recreational Drugs and will continue to do so, as humans are naturally pleasure seekers.  Some of those drugs pack a punch, and others put you on a bender.  Hence, education of particular naturally produced drugs which can provide a wonderful wallop and don't knock you up afterwards is meritworthy.  An "Overdose Human Produced Drugs Only" slogan would refer to the body's naturally producing benefits of Adrenaline and Endorphins occurring from rigorous, Challenging exercise, thereby positioning the Core Product to Compete For Market Share "toe-to-toe" with other Recreational Drugs Used, rather than tacitly inferring that all drugs are a No No, when these substances are kickers and unwinders which many of us will not do without.

Under the Youthful Exuberance Theme, synergies exist with the Core Product of Youthful Exuberance Lifestyle Programme and the Federal Government's Tough on Drugs campaign because the Core Product induces  Beneficial Effects of Human Produced Drugs.  A marketing slogan of "Overdose Human Induced Drugs Only" would enable citizens to better evaluate the positive side effects from Adrenaline and Endorphins, compared against the array of Recreational Drugs Used

(f)        Overdosing one 'Rigorous Recreational Exercise Activity only' can expose to stressful withdrawal symptoms

Exercise is a powerful drug which can takes us into Zen-state.  If unaddressed over doing one exercise type can turn some enthusiasts into addicts, possibly resulting in physical and mental harm.  In isolated instances exercise can become the number one priority in a Participant's life where everything else is scheduled around another 'fix' of one particular exercise activity.  If such a Participant suffers an injury [ie. a jogger suffers tendonitis in the knee and has to stop jogging], he/she may feel out of control due to a dependence on their next workout.  Warning signs of physical limitations may be ignored, preferring to continue to work out and push themselves.  The consequences of such behaviour may be serious and can lead to a chronic injury halting further fixes.  Acute stressful withdrawal symptoms can follow similar to detoxing other types of substance addiction.

A practical mitigant for suffering such substance denial withdrawal symptoms is for the Youthful Exuberance Lifestyle Programme to promote cross-training a few different Rigorous Recreational Exercise Activities which use different muscle and tendon groups [ie Lap Swimming, Bushwalking, Cycling, Kayaking and Social Dancing, supplemented by core muscle builders/lengtheners, Pilates or Yoga, respectively.  Enjoying a variety of Common Bond Support Groups across those Recreational Exercise Activities is an further offshoot from cross training with different Participant groups.

(g)         Provide a risk warning not to put all your eggs in one basket, but to cross-train:

As explained in Section 16(g) since 2002 Australian law beholds the organisers of recreational exercise activities, which involve dangers (eg. road cycling) to provide a risk warning (in any invitation) to parties that the organiser invites to participate.  In NSW the pertinent law is Civil Liability Amendment (Personal Responsibility) Act 2002 No 92, in particular "Division 5 Recreational Activities".  Hence, pursuant to the above-mentioned Australian law, an Overdose Human Produced Drugs Only campaign would need to -

(a)        provide a risk warning that overdosing on one Rigorous Recreational Exercise Activity only, can have negative side-effects if the Participant becomes injured and thence suffers withdrawal symptoms typical of any drug addiction; and

(b)        point out the benefits of cross-training a few different Recreational Exercise Activities

Mindful of the public interest in many of the Seven Problems, in particular global warming, obesity and Tough on Drugs, the Pilot will generate useful publicity of its own.

Should NSW Department of Health take carriage for the Pilot, it would have media information delivery channels to -

A)         issue press releases to be picked-up by journos for articles in local papers; and

B)         communicate with its health affiliates, general practioners, exercise physiologists, physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths and local councils.

Merit also exists in Recreational Exercise Consultants calling on the health providers in B) above to achieve face-to-face contact and explain their Supervision and Referral services.
